Ahoy Adventurers,
These last few months have been an unexpected whirlwind of events, but I suppose we don't call it the 'Wild Sky' for nothing! We know it's been quiet from our end lately, but there are a lot of new and exciting things happening behind the scenes. While we’ve been hard at work charting the course ahead, we have also been keeping a close eye on all of your comments and questions. While it's still a little too early to reveal everything, we're excited to share more about what's ahead for the game in future updates.
To those of you who have given our game a chance and to those who are still waiting to experience the wild skies of their own, we thank you. We truly appreciate your patience and ongoing support. We are building a game we love and seeing how excited you all are for its release continues to motivate and inspire the entire team every day.
Until we’re ready to unveil the next chapter of Guardians of the Wild Sky, we wanted to take some time to answer a few of the most common questions we’ve seen from the community.

Frequently Asked Questions
Language support
During the demo, we only had partial translations available. When entering Early Access the game will be given full translations.
Gamepad support
Full controller support will be available for our Early Access launch, so grab your favourite controller and get ready to take to the skies.
Console support
Good news for our console players (we see you and hear you), Guardians of the Wild Sky will be making its way to consoles following the PC launch! We've also seen a lot of questions about cross-play, and we're happy to confirm that players on PC and consoles will be able to adventure together. No matter where you choose to play, you'll be able to explore the skies with your friends.
Servers
You will have the options to play the following way: single player, online co-op, dedicated servers for self-hosting and the option for server hosting through our server providers.
PVE/PVP
Since the beginning our primary focus has been a solid, immersive PVE experience. With that being said, we have added a toggle for PVP to the game. While PVP is not an officially supported mode, players have the option to choose how they explore and interact with the world.
Will you have future playtests/demos
The short answer is yes. We absolutely plan to run more playtests and are optimistic about hosting another demo in the future. We don't have any dates to announce at this time, but when we do we will announce those dates and how to join via Steam and over Discord. We'll also continue inviting new playtesters from those who have signed up on our website or selected the playtester role in our official Discord.
How to become a playtester
Looking to become a playtester? Playtesters are selected from players who have signed up through our playtester registration page, as well as members of our official Discord who have opted into the playtester role.
If you're interested in participating in future playtests, be sure to sign up through the registration page on our website or select the playtester role in our official Discord to be considered for upcoming testing opportunities.

Winners of our Immortalize Your Builds Contest
We saw an incredible number of builds throughout the demo, with some truly awe-inspiring creations. There were builds we never even thought possible from the flying Black Pearl to floating islands, to lighthouses and more! There were some genuinely remarkable builds to pick from, you did not make this easy for us, here are the winners:
Best Flying Vessel: murningstar

Best Compact Design: AnomAnom

Best Creative Design: manta.fanta

Once again we must give a big thank you all for the exceptional submissions. We truly have a talented community with a remarkable eye for creating in the skies!
As our very first in-game building competition, the response exceeded all expectations. Not only were we blown away by the creativity and quality of these builds, but we also learned a tremendous amount from our builders. Seeing how players interacted with the building system provided us with ways we can improve existing features and implement new ones.
To everyone who participated, thank you. While this may have seemed like a small community event, it had a meaningful impact on the continued development of our building systems. It takes creativity, dedication, and a willingness to experiment to learn a new building system and bring an idea to life using its many pieces and mechanics. We truly appreciate every one of you who took on this challenge and we hope to see you and some new faces in the next one!
We'll be back soon with more updates as we continue working away on everything planned for the road ahead. Before we set sail, we want to thank you all for your patience, support and enthusiasm throughout this journey. This game wouldn't be the same without such an incredible community behind it and we can't wait to continue shaping the skies alongside you.
Please feel free to follow our socials or our Discord community, we appreciate all of you. Thank you.
